RED DIRT Wilderness area is the greatest place to ride,Ive ridden in several states and backbone and Turpentine trails are the best. They have some challenging areas and easy.I LOVE riding here.I WISH they had a good campground closer than cane camp.JT-TRAILBLAZER

The kisatchie national forest which, old camp claiborne is has 98,000 acres with 88 miles of multi-use trails my stay at the 4-b ranch was great they have full service RV sites and cabin rentals, good stalls and an old west Saloon,Pavillion, pool and much more
I would give these people a call(318) 659-3332 and go try it (lots of fun)

I have ridden out of Cane Camp, Backbone and Caroline Dorman Trails at Kisatchie for several years now. The camping area at Cane Camp is wonderful....only thing; no showers, but for a few bucks you drive up the road and take a shower at a little store nearby. I love the trails at this part of Kisatchie...you can ride for several days and not ride the same way. When we ride Backbone or Caroline Dorman we camp at Cane and trailer down the the other trails....good parking etc. Park Rangers are very nice and helpful.
